Officer and Candidate Requirements

Printer Friendly Version

Each candidate must be in good standing in the community and no outstanding or unsettled litigation, or police, or public actions against them. (For extenuating circumstances individuals will be reviewed by the chairman and/or the executive committee).

One must have a neat and orderly appearance which would be acceptable in the business community or district of which they are running for. State Officers should dress appropriately for each occasion that business is conducted in public. Language should reflect honestly, integrity, and the principles that our nation was built upon. No swearing or slang should be allowed at any time, written or spoken.

Officers and Candidates must uphold to the entire State Constitution Party platform and by-laws of the party. Our motto of "Principle above Politics" must be adhered to.

We will not discriminate against race, creed, color, or sex of any individual.

Candidates must be reviewed by the state Chairman and/or Executive Committee. They must also sign acceptance of the requirements listed herein.

If an Officer or Candidate violates requirements the following steps will be taken:

If an Officer, that individual will lose their position as officer, and someone else will be elected or appointed in their place.

If a Candidate, the State Party will publically renounce them as a viable CP candidate, either by newspaper, newsletter, radio, etc.
The reason for this will be given. The State Party will not support them with funds, actions or any other means.

If a Candidate who did get elected into office, the State Party will
publically renounce them as representing the Constitution Party and expose the reason why they have not followed the platform. This will be done by newspaper, newsletter, radio, and such like.
